Basteltraum's Challenge #78: Summer
Hello crafty friends
Can you believe it - a month has passed again and this time it is all about summer on the current Bastel-Traum-Challenge!
I created a little beach scene; the background is all sponged with Distress oxides and spritzed with a water bottle for some extra splashes :-)
The images are all colored with Copic markers and adhered with some foam tape for extra dimension.
I wish I could join the litlle foxy under its sunshade :-)
I hope you got inspired and set in the right summer mode for playing along with us!

Basteltraum's Challenge #77: LAWNFAWN
Hello fellow crafters!
I am back with an other post for the latest challenge hosted by Bastel-Traum. This time, we dedicated the theme to one of my absolute favorite card making brand ever: Lawnfawn!!! Wohoooo!! The design team decided to use the "Happy Village" stamp set, but you can use whatever you have in your stash from Lawnfawn :-)
First, I sponged a little cloudy background by using a circle stencil and a cloud stencil. Then I diecut a circle out of green cardstock and cut off a small part for my ground. On top of that, I arranged my images from the Happy Village set which I all colored with my copic markers. A teeny tiny heart and a sentiment strip below finished off my design for this pretty much CAS style card (which are the hardest to create for me forever, hahaha :-)) )
I really hope you will jump on the wagon in this round - Lawnfawn is always a pleasure to play with!
See you over there!

Basteltraum's Challenge #75: Easter/Spring
Wohooo! Spring is almost here!!!
And so we dedicated our current Bastel-Traum's challenge to everything spring and/or Easter related :-)
I created a pop-up box card and decorated the outside with an allover stamping design. All stamps are from Lawn Fawn's latest release and this set is called "Butterfly Kisses". Isn't it adorable?!
For the middle parts, I used two dies from two other brandnew sets which are actually add-ons for the shadow box die set. I realized that the width of the grass border and the flower border is the exact same as the pop up box! Lawn Fawn is always creating so cleverly their dies! You can mix and match between the sets, that is simply genius!
for decorating the front panels, I used some blue cardstock from Lawn Fawn's "watercolor wishes petite paper pack" . The cloudy background is sponged with blue dye ink and a finger dauber. All stamped images are colored with my Copic markers, also the garland. I simply wrote the name of the newborn boy with acrylic paint over it and outlined them with a black fineliner pen.
And as this card was ordered by a company, I created a bigger card and popped the pop up box card with a paper bandage on it. This way, everyone in the company was able to sign the card :-) I also created a little pouch for the money they collected in the company.
I hope you got inspired and give this round a try at Bastel-Traum's blog! See ya there!

Basteltraum's challenge #56: Anything goes
It is the 15th of the month again and this means a new fun challenge is starting over at Basteltraum's blog!
And this time you are TOTALLY free of what you come up with because anything goes!!! YAY!
I definitely did my doctorate with this card, lol. Well, I blame myself because I could have done it way easier... but let's begin from scratch :-)
Lawn Fawn released this year an amazing diecut set called "Magic Color Slider". It is a huge set which allows you to create beautiful color slider cards. All pieces you need for it are included in this diecut set. Lawn Fawn has a nice intro tutorial where you can see a step by step tutorial how the mechanism has to be assembled. So... I did my magic color slider card with the adorable pirate set, also by Lawn Fawn. I stamped and masked a little scene onto a piece of cardstock and stamped the exact same scene on a piece of acetate again (including masking! this was quite a bit tricky :-)) ). Then I colored the scene with colored pencils and assembled the whole mechanism together. So when you are now pulling the kraft cardstock slider, the color will be revealed like magic because the acetate and the colored piece are layered on top of each other. How cool is that?! I barely could stop playing :-))
Then I stamped the sentiment on a banner stamp and embellished it with several flowers and leaves. A little anchor diecut out of my stash and a piece of red and white striped patterned paper finished off my design. As the interactive part is super cool, the card itself doesn't need a lot of additional embellishments.
This kind of card might be a bit more time consuming - but trust me, totally worth it! Color slider cards are SO MUCH FUN!! :-)
I hope you will play along - you have to - because anything goes! :-)
See you there and happy crafting!

Basteltraum's Challenge #51 Easter / Dots & Polka Dots
Hello, crafty friend!
I am totally in the mood for spring, what about you? The weather we had in the last days helped too to get my mood into the direction of Easter... well, in a month we are there! So how about to start with Easter cards?? Today, the new Basteltraum's challenge has started and it is all about Easter, dots and polka dots. You can combine both or pick just one theme - this is totally up to you!
As I am a big fan of polka dots, I combined the two themes. I used mostly Lawn Fawn products. That cute stamp set is an older one called "Eggstra special easter" . I looove the pun with the "earresitible" part - it matches so perfectly to that chocolate bunny which has a bite in its ear :-D
I colored everything with my Copic markers and added some super thin eyelashes to the bunny (with a Copic proof black liner, 0.05 point tip).
First, I sponged a nice sky with a selfmade stencil (made with a "Puffy cloud border die"). I used distress ink "tumbled glass".
For the ground I used the "Grassy border" and cut it out from polka dotted patterned paper, which is also from Lawn Fawn. And to finish the card, I added a frame with the "Stitched Rectangle Frames" to finish off the design, together with a few shiny sequins from my stash.
I hope my card inspired you and you play along with us - see you there!
Hugs,
