Basteltraum's Challenge #78: Summer

Hello crafty friends

Can you believe it - a month has passed again and this time it is all about summer on the current Bastel-Traum-Challenge!

I created a little beach scene; the background is all sponged with Distress oxides and spritzed with a water bottle for some extra splashes :-)

The images are all colored with Copic markers and adhered with some foam tape for extra dimension.

I wish I could join the litlle foxy under its sunshade :-)

I hope you got inspired and set in the right summer mode for playing along with us!

Basteltraum's Challenge #77: LAWNFAWN

Hello fellow crafters!

I am back with an other post for the latest challenge hosted by Bastel-Traum. This time, we dedicated the theme to one of my absolute favorite card making brand ever: Lawnfawn!!! Wohoooo!! The design team decided to use the "Happy Village" stamp set, but you can use whatever you have in your stash from Lawnfawn :-)

First, I sponged a little cloudy background by using a circle stencil and a cloud stencil. Then I diecut a circle out of green cardstock and cut off a small part for my ground. On top of that, I arranged my images from the Happy Village set which I all colored with my copic markers. A teeny tiny heart and a sentiment strip below finished off my design for this pretty much CAS style card (which are the hardest to create for me forever,  hahaha :-))  )

I really hope you will jump on the wagon in this round - Lawnfawn is always a pleasure to play with!

See you over there!

Bastel-Traum's Challenge #65 Rainbow / Fantasy

Hello lovelies

Today is a new challenge starting over at Bastel-Traum's blog with the theme rainbow and/or fantasy... Wohoo! Get aaaaall of your pretty colors out and start creating something colorful!!!

My inspiration card is made with an utterly adorable digial stamp created by Isabel Cristina - in case you fell in love with it too - it is a free digi that you can grab on her blog HERE :-)

I colored the image with my copic markers and the background is made with liquid watercolor ink "Ecoline" by Talens . First, I gave the watercolor paper a good wash with plain water and then dripped the color with the included pipette onto the wet paper. It's SO zen to watch the color spreading over the surface, love this process! :-) I repeated that process several times and dried the layers in between with my heat tool. Then I cut the watercolor paper with a scalopped rectangle die by Mama Elephant which is included in this set.

I adhered the mousie with some foam tape to stand even more out and finished off my design with some sparkly rhinestones by Lucy's little Things . Looks cute, right?? I think this card will make anyones day a bit brighter :-))

Thank you for stopping by - hopefully you got inspired and I will see you playing along!

Birthday happy mail for a lovely friend

Hi guys!

Today I have a very special card for you. First, because it is for a very sweet and special crafty friend of mine, sweet Steffi. So again, happy happy birthday to you, Mausi!! And this brings me to my card for her. As we call each other "Mausi" (which means "mousie" in German) this digital stamp seemed PERFECT for this occasion! You can find that image over on Isabel's etsy store and many more adorable digital stamps. Isabel is crazily talented and super sweet. And I am so proud to call her as dear friend of mine, too. So you might check out her instagram feed too, she creates so many adorable things!

I wanted to create something special for Steffi, so I went for a flexible shaker card with no bulk at all. I used my fuse tool to create a pouch for my shaker elements. This tool is super handy and so easy to handle. I definitely can recommend it! I filled my pouch with all those tiny bits and pieces and closed it with the final fusing line. So easy!

As the whole front will be transparent, I had to create a back part of the hot air balloon. But Isabel made it an easy job, as she did include the back side of the mouse in the digi stamp set. So I cut out the mouse and adhered it to the plain hot air ballon. Voilà, here is my backside! ;-) The images are all colored with my copics. The cloudy sky is sponged with Disdress oxide ink (broken china). I have to admit - those inks are GREAT for seamless blendings!  They flow like butter ;-)

I diecut an extra frame out of white cardstock for sandwiching my shaker pouch between the card base and that frame. I used a very strong tape adhesive, I think this works best for such small and thin areas.

Then I glued the hot air balloon onto the pouch and the back on the inside onto the pouch and voilà - here is my special birthday card for Steffi! :-)

I hope you like it and you will give it a try as well!

So I just hope my card has arrived today and Steffi will like it, too!

Thanks for stopping by and have an amazing day!

Hugs,

Happy Insta Girls Easter Blog Hop

Hello, crafty friend!

It is the second time for me joining the Happy Insta Girls blog hop and this one was so much fun!! It was all about Easter and little treats. As usually I didn't know who will send me a card - I just knew for who I had to create one :-) Lovely Birka is our little fairy who does all the work for us :-D

So let's dive into the card and treat I got - from Vanessa!

Look at that super yummylicious card!! I'm so in love with all those rainbow colored eggs!! And the treat bag matches the cards SO well!! Oh, by the way -  my daughter liked the "Kinder Country" a lot :-)) Besides the chocolate, Vanessa added some super pretty patterned papers, too.

Thank you again for it, Vanessa! *please insert here a squeezing hug* :-))

So this is the card and the sweet surprise I made for Reni:

As I decided to send a simple chocolate bar (as I had to send it from Switzerland to Germany) and the packaging was quite simple (but isn't that bunny super cute??! It is a complete die set by Mama Elephant), I decided to go for a shaker card with lots of details and fun elements. I colored the images with my copics, the rest is colored card stock and patterned paper. All dies are by Lawn Fawn, one of my favorite brands. And that set with those cute chicks and these bunny hats are beyond adorable, aren't they?! And the sentiment was perfect for Reni :-)))

So hop over to her blog and check out what amazing things she created :-) You will find a list of all blog addresses at the bottom of this post.

Happing hopping - and happy Easter to you and your family!!

Hugs,
