Bastel-Traum's Challenge #65 Rainbow / Fantasy

Hello lovelies

Today is a new challenge starting over at Bastel-Traum's blog with the theme rainbow and/or fantasy... Wohoo! Get aaaaall of your pretty colors out and start creating something colorful!!!

My inspiration card is made with an utterly adorable digial stamp created by Isabel Cristina - in case you fell in love with it too - it is a free digi that you can grab on her blog HERE :-)

I colored the image with my copic markers and the background is made with liquid watercolor ink "Ecoline" by Talens . First, I gave the watercolor paper a good wash with plain water and then dripped the color with the included pipette onto the wet paper. It's SO zen to watch the color spreading over the surface, love this process! :-) I repeated that process several times and dried the layers in between with my heat tool. Then I cut the watercolor paper with a scalopped rectangle die by Mama Elephant which is included in this set.

I adhered the mousie with some foam tape to stand even more out and finished off my design with some sparkly rhinestones by Lucy's little Things . Looks cute, right?? I think this card will make anyones day a bit brighter :-))

Thank you for stopping by - hopefully you got inspired and I will see you playing along!

Basteltraum's Challenge #64: Flowers / Mother's day

Hello, crafty friends!

I hope you are enjoying a great spring weekend as I do! Temperatures are getting so much warmer, you can do activities outside and nature is getting so colorful again! I think spring is my favorite time of the year :-))

And because Mother's day is coming soon, the theme of the newest Bastel-Traum challenge is all about Flowers and/or Mother's Day!

I grabbed an older set by Altenew called "Magnolias for her" and stamped it with a super light grey ink - you can barely see it when it's stamped. But it's enough for working with the "no-line" coloring technique - as it says - at the end you won't see any stamped lines anymore. I used my Schmincke Horadam watercolors with a wet-on-wet technique. In case you're looking for new, high quality watercolors, I really can recommend the HORADAM. They are incredibly pigmented, lightfast and sooo easy to blend!

I hope you will play along this month - you can go very colorful and festive! But for now we should enjoy the nice weather outside, don't you think?

Thank you for stopping by!

Crafty hugs,

Basteltraum's Challenge #54: Water

Hello fellow crafter!

We are back with a new challenge over at Basteltraum's blog. Theme of the month is everything water related. So let's jump into a crafty world full of splashes and fun!

For my inspiration card I chose the uber cute mermaid by a newer set from MFT. I colored everything with my copics and gave the mermaid's hair more definition and depth with some colored pencils (I used Faber Castell Polychromos). Then I heat embossed the background with this gooorgeous background stamp (also from MFT) and colored it with regular water colors. And because I had so much fun creating it, I made an other one, same coloring and background technique, only a different stamp. The big "Happy Birthday" is one of my favorites (by Mama Elephant).

I hope you got inspired and will play along with us! I would love to see your creations!

Challgene #48 by bastel-traum: It is all about watercolor!

Hello, crafty friends! Welcome to a new challenge hosted by bastel-traum! Edition no. 46 is all about watercolors. I love this medium - it is so forgiving and versatile!

That cutie is a stamp from CC Designs and the series is called "Swiss Pixies". This was an express order for a baby shower party, so I thought this fits perfectly - a cute little girl sitting in an umbrella :-)

I colored the image with a whole bunch of different water soluble colors - a bit of ZIG real brush pens, Tombow markers, pebeo watercolors and for some details colored pencils, too! That is what I love about watercoloring - you can mix and match every medium you like - as long as it is water soluble :-)

The background panel is made with distress inks (cracked pistachio and blueprint sketch). I just smooshed it with a piece of acetate onto my card panel and let it dry by air (drying with a heat tool works as well, but you will get a different look on the paper).

For more fun going on I created a shaker card, filled with bits an pieces of glittery stars, hearts and some beads for a nice sound while shaking it :-) I always save the acetate pieces of packaging; they are mostly very sturdy and nice for shaker windows!

The sentiment on the black cardstock is heat embossed. And that is it already! :-D

I hope you got inspired and I would love to see you playing along with us!

Hugs and have an awesome day!

Used materials:

- White cardstock (300g)
- Black cardstock (300g)
- Tape runner (for the shaker window)

Pompom - Dahlien . . .

... machen einfach Freude!

- Versafine black onyx Stempelkissen
- Versamark Stempelkissen (zum Embossen)
- Ranger Super Fine Withe Embossingpulver
- ZIG Real Brush pens
- Watercolor cardstock
- Transparentpapier (aus einer lokalen Papeterie)
- Fotokarton 300g schwarz (von Office World)
- Kartenbasis A2 (amerikanischer Standard)
- Leim ab der Rolle

Nun freue ich mich schon auf eure Werke - macht doch einfach mit! Diese Runde ist sooo easy peasy mit dem Thema! ;-))

xoxo, Tina
