Basteltraum's Challenge #104 Plants

Hello everyone!

I am back with a pretty simple, yet pretty card for you :-) This month's theme on bastel-traum's challenge blog is all about plants. I decided to make some super quick and easy cards for your inspiration. All you need is water color paper,  any type of watercolors (I used liquid ones), some greenery diecuts, some hemp cord and a pretty sentiment of your choice.

First, I cut a panel in european DIN A6 size (this is more or less the same as the american A2 size) and taped it down onto my glass surface. Then I got them a wash of clear water and then came in with the watercolor by spreading it around until I was happy. A few splatters completed the look. Then I set both panels aside to dry (this did not take a long time, I think about 15 min). I prefer drying by itself then with a heat gun, it looks so different afterwards!

In the meantime, I diecut the greenery. I used some random pieces, I even cannot remember the brand. But I picked an alternative down below for you in case you might buy some plant diecuts for yourself :-)

Afer the panels got completely dry, I stamped the sentiment with black pigment ink and embossed it on top with clear embossing powder. This is optional, but I love the raised letters and the shine of the heat embossing process!

After that, I just had to arrange and adhere my greenery on the panel. I wrapped a few times a hemp cord around the panel to give my card a "ground". (I felt like my plants were floating there). Now I just had to glue the panel onto a base - here we go! These two cards took me about 45 min, which is super fast for me, what do you think? :-)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! I can't wait to see your creations over at basteltraum's challenge blog!

Happy crafting!
